Certifications: Das Teppichwerk

The DGNB system of the German Sustainable Building Council (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) only certifies a building as sustainable if it is efficient, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient in all defined areas. This is achieved through an independent and neutral process that assesses the quality of the building across its entire life cycle. From ecology, economy, technology and socio-cultural and functional aspects, as well as processes, right through to the location. DGNB certification of a building does not constitute product certification for DAS TEPPICHWERK. However, DAS TEPPICHWERK is indeed a member of the DGNB.

Selected carpets from DAS TEPPICHWERK are certified to SCS Indoor Advantage Gold. This independent certification confirms that the tested products comply with the specified emission limits for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with CDPH Standard Method V1.2. This means that the certified carpets are suitable for use in interiors designed with low emissions in mind. The products covered by the certificate are listed in the relevant valid SCS certificate.

The Association for Environmentally Friendly Carpets (Gemeinschaft umweltfreundlicher Teppichboden e.V.) is an association of Europe’s leading carpet manufacturers. Its aim is the continuous improvement and further development of environmental standards for carpets. With the PRODIS product passport for carpets, GUT has developed a forward-looking product information system that provides end customers with detailed information (such as ingredients, environmental friendliness, performance characteristics and care instructions) on the relevant textile floor covering in a simple, quick and transparent manner. The products listed in the GUT Product Passport have been assessed in accordance with the published GUT assessment criteria. The French VOC labelling system classifies construction products into classes A+, A, B or C based on their emissions measured after 28 days. The specific class for each product can be found in the relevant technical data sheet.

The quality management system at the Hameln site is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

These symbols stand for sustainability
