Certifications

These symbols stand for sustainability

DGNB
DGNB Logo

The DGNB system of the German Sustainable Building Council (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) only certifies a building as sustainable if it is efficient, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient in all defined areas. This is achieved through an independent and neutral process that assesses the quality of the building across its entire life cycle. From ecology, economy, technology and socio-cultural and functional aspects, as well as processes, right through to the location.

Indoor Air Quality Certification
Indoor Air Quality Certification Logo

Carpets bearing the Indoor Advantage GOLD certification have been proven to make a significant contribution to improving indoor air quality. No wonder, given that SCS Global Services tests textile floor coverings from DAS TEPPICHWERK (formerly Hamelner Teppichwerke and Vorwerk® Teppichwerke) against international scientific standards and confirms that they comply with the strict limits for chemical emissions relating to volatile organic compounds (VOCs), thereby promoting a healthy indoor environment.

GUT - Gemeinschaft umweltfreundlicher Teppichboden e.V.

The label awarded by the Association for Environmentally Friendly Carpeting (Gesellschaft umweltfreundlicher Teppichboden - GUT) confirms the environmental and user-friendliness of the new flooring. Throughout its entire life cycle, right up to recycling. To this end, GUT, in collaboration with officially recognised institutes, carries out rigorous product testing, which has recently become even more stringent. So stringent, in fact, that it would have been described as revolutionary when the association was founded in 1990.

VOCs

The French regulation on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) governs the emission of these substances. It is considered very strict, as floor coverings, paints, varnishes, windows and doors may only be sold if they emit less than 1 μg/m³ after 28 days. In addition, the best products are labelled A+, whilst all others are labelled A, B or C.

EcoVadis SAS

EcoVadis SAS is a company based in Paris since 2007 that operates globally to assess the sustainability practices of businesses. The result is the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating. This assessment enables participating companies to determine exactly how they compare with other companies in their sector and where improvements can be made. Our goal is to achieve the Bronze standard by 2028.

ISO 9001

The ISO 9001 quality management system ensures that interlinked processes within the company are systematically analysed, regulated and controlled. It increases transparency in operational procedures, optimises processes, improves customer satisfaction in the long term and ensures consistently high quality. Certification by independent testing bodies, such as TÜV Hessen, confirms that compliance with ISO 9001 is verified through regular audits.
