Sustainable materials
for durable products

DAS TEPPICHWERK uses recycled materials in selected products.
The aim is to further increase the proportion of recycled material in its products in the long term. Selected carpet tiles with SL Sonic backing contain around 70 per cent recycled material by weight. The exact proportion varies depending on the product and is specified in the relevant technical data sheet.

In the case of carpet tiles, the TEXtiles and SL Sonic backing components consist of 100 per cent recycled material by weight. The recycled content of the complete product is lower and is stated separately. For selected grades, we use ECONYL® yarn from Aquafil. According to the manufacturer, the raw material is produced from regenerated polyamide-6 waste. Information on composition and origin: Sustainability in Business with ECONYL® Regenerated Nylon.

In the calendar year 2025, 873 tonnes of recycled material were used at the Hameln site. According to our volume-based material records, this corresponded to approximately 28 per cent of the raw materials used during this period and included in the calculation. The relevant calculations are available for inspection at our premises.

In 2025, 55 tonnes of polyamide-6 scrap yarn were transferred to Aquafil for further processing. The actual processing takes place as part of the recipient’s regeneration process.
