‘Fine dining in Vienna’

For the new interior of Konstantin Filippou’s restaurant, the client and architect have placed the focus on cooking and food preparation at the heart of the fine-dining room. For this reason, architect Martin Mostböck designed a new, long table at which the head chef and his team prepare and finalise the menu. This central table, serving as the centrepiece, can be divided into five separate sections and reconfigured. This allows the service team to respond flexibly to a wide range of requirements and transform the fine dining room into various scenarios. Its central location in the room offers every guest the opportunity to watch the menu being prepared before it is served.

To enhance the ambience and create a sense of focus, a special lighting solution is used which reproduces 98% (Ra98) of the natural light colour and can be continuously dimmed from ‘candlelight’ to specific settings. The interior is complemented by a shimmering carpet that enhances the character of the room and reduces noise levels, a new, rounded seating area, a seating nook offering guests greater comfort, and a back wall of black mirrored glass slats that lend the room more ‘depth’ and even greater elegance. Naturally, the fine dining room is furnished with the ‘Konstantin Chair’, which Martin Mostböck designed for the restaurant two years ago.
